Primakara University collaborated with the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa to host the fourth iteration of the Broad Exposure Science and Technology (BEST) International Conference. The event convened approximately 74 researchers and academics representing five nations through both in-person and virtual participation formats.
This year’s conference centered on the theme of “Innovative Materials for a Sustainable Future,” addressing interconnected global issues including climate change mitigation, energy optimization, and resource management. Organizers emphasized that advanced materials research offers pathways toward sustainable solutions.
According to Prof. Dr. Jayanudin, Dean of Engineering at Untirta, biomaterial innovations represent a particularly promising area commanding international scholarly attention. The conference featured three keynote presentations:
- Prof. Takayuki Narushima (Tohoku University) discussed modified alloys for medical stents
- Prof. Yenny Meliana (Indonesian Research and Innovation Agency) explored nanotechnology applications in cosmetics
- Prof. Erwann Guenin (Université de Technologie de Compiègne) presented on biobased and nanomaterial functionalization
The gathering facilitated knowledge exchange and strengthened international research partnerships, underscoring Primakara’s dedication to advancing materials science and sustainability through collaborative scholarship.
